Chemistry

Missouri S&T Chemistry department gives high school students the opportunity to earn college credit in CHEM 1310, General Chemistry I. This course earns a total of 4.0 credit hours to include; 2.0 LEC credits and 2.0 Recitation credits. This course is a comprehensive study of general chemistry concepts with focus on the atomic and molecular nature of matter.

We also encourage you to take the lab as well, but it is not required. If you choose to take the lab, you could earn college credit from CHEM 1319, General Chemistry Laboratory. This course earns 1.0 credit hour. The laboratory work accompanying general chemistry consists of experiments designed to supplement lectures in CHEM 1310. CHEM 1319 is an in person ONLY course

This is a great way to get a head start on your college career if you are interested in obtaining a BA or BS in Chemistry.
