The successful candidate for the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs position will collaborate closely with the CASE Dean on various academic and educational matters within the college. This includes creating, developing, and reviewing programs, pursuing new educational initiatives and strategies, establishing and implementing policies and procedures, and supporting the professional development of faculty, staff, and students. Reporting directly to the Dean, the Associate Dean will work with college leadership, including department chairs and administrative staff, to drive and implement new approaches aimed at enhancing enrollment, retention, and student success.
Key responsibilities of the role include overseeing curriculum, instruction, and student success, developing and implementing strategic plans for academic programs, facilitating program development, faculty recruitment, and professional development, and supporting periodic academic program reviews. The Associate Dean will also work with College Chairs to review and improve curriculum and instruction, collaborate with the College administrative leadership team on governance and administration issues, and work with counterparts in other colleges to support University-wide goals.
Maintaining a respectful and inclusive work environment, developing and distributing policies and procedures, and completing other duties as assigned are also key aspects of the role.
